Narayanganj garment factory catches fire

A fire that broke out at a garment factory at the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial area in Narayanganj's Fatullah has been doused, the authorities said, reports UNB.
The fire broke out at Fakir Apparels Ltd. at around 10:30 am, Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (media) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, told the news agency.
On information, ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 11:25 am, he added.
No casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The reason for the fire and the extent of the damage could not be confirmed immediately, said the fire official.
