KURIGRAM, June 18 (UNB) : Narcotics worth about Tk 17 million were destroyed at 'T' dam area on the bank of Dharala river Sunday noon.
Official sources said the narcotics included 40 maunds of hemp, 500 bottles of liquor, 2,000 bottles of Phensidyl syrup and three grams of heroin.
The drugs were burnt in presence of the Deputy Commissioner AR Mollah and Additional Police Super Ashique Sayed.
The law enforcing agencies seized the narcotics from different parts of the district since 1992.
