Nat’l Fisheries Week to begin on August 18

The National Fisheries Week 2025 will be observed across the country from August 18, reports BSS.

This year's theme is "Building Sanctuaries Makes the Country Rich with Local Fish".

The inaugural ceremony will take place at 10:00 am on August 18 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC).

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will attend the ceremony as the chief guest, while Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter will preside over the event.

At the function, 16 individuals and organisations will receive the 'Matshya Padak-2025' in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
