New executives of Dhaka Sub-Editors Council

Shah Mohammad Muhtasim Billah of Janakantha and Md Al Mamoon of Ittefaque have been elected president and secretary respectively of the Dhaka Sub-Editors Council (DSEC) at an election held at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium Thursday.
Other office bearers of the executive committee are: Vice- president Mukul Talukdar, Joint Secretary Sharif Talukdar, Treasurer Ashraful Islam, Organising Secretary Idrish Madrazi, Office Secretary Mamunur Rashid, Publicity Secretary Zahidul Hoq Zahir, Sports and Cultural Secretary Khairul Alam.
Elected executive committee members are: Sumun Islam, Shahana Sheuly, Anamul Hoq, Zakirul Islam, Immam Gazzali, Md Shamsul Alam Setu, Uttam Kumar, Md Jahangir Alam, Paritush Kumar Roy Tusar, Shahed Zahidi and Md Nadim.
MM Salauddin was elected Research and Training Secretary without any contest.
Earlier, annual general meeting of the council was held with its president Muhtasim Billah in the chair.
Four-member election commission headed by Abdul Baten conducted the election.
