New HC judges meet President

Newly-appointed 10 judges of the High Court (HC) Division of the Supreme Court made a courtesy call President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban Wednesday, reports UNB.

The Judges are Justice SM Mojibur Rahman, Justice Farid Ahmed Shibli, Justice Amir Hossain, Justice Khizir Ahmed Chowdhury, Justice Rajik Al Jalil, Justice Jyotirmoy Narayan Dev Chowdhury, Justice Bhishma Dev Chakrawarty, Justice M Iqbal Kabir, Justice M Salim and Justice M Suhrawardy.

The President emphasised reducing the large number of cases backlog and said more judges are required at both the lower and higher judiciary in this connection.
