Newly-appointed Navy chief Vice Admiral Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim on Friday paid tribute to the memory of the brave martyrs of the Armed Forces, who laid down their lives in the Great Liberation War in 1971, by placing a wreath at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment, reports BSS.
After paying tribute, the Navy Chief signed the visit book kept at Shikha Anirban.
Later, when the Navy Chief arrived at the Naval Headquarters, he was received by the Principal Staff Officers of the Naval Headquarters, an ISPR press release said.
After that, a well-equipped contingent of the Bangladesh Navy gave him a guard of honour. He inspected the guard and took the salute. Senior navy officers, including the Principal Staff Officers of the Naval Headquarters, were present.
