Toddler dies falling into water bucket in city
A one-year-old child died after falling into a bucket filled with water at her house on Bonogram Road at Wari in the capital on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Amena. Family sources said at around 10:30 am while plying Amena wended her way into bathroom at the first floor of Ashraf Garden apartment building in the area and drowned after falling into a water filled bucket there. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an unconscious state where the attending doctor declared her dead, according to Wari Police Station. — FE REPORT
4.5-kg gold seized at HSIA
Members of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate seized around 4.492 kilograms of gold from a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital on Friday. The estimated market value of the seized gold is more than Tk 45.0 million (4.5 crore), the customs department said. — BSS
