NARAYANGANJ, Oct 4 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a night guard at Char Rajapur village in Fatlullah in sadar upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Billal Miah, 24, son of Abdul Khalek Miah of the village.
Locals said they found the body of Billal in a house in Uttar Chasara area of the village in the morning and informed police.
Later, law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj 100-bed general hospital morgue for autopsy.
The victim's brother-in-law Shamim Mia said Billal had an altercation with some local people few days ago while guarding the land of one Nahiduzzaman in Chasara area.
Billal also filed a general diary in this connection.
Shamim said Billal's rivals might have strangled him to death following previous enmity.
Fatullah Model Police Station sub-inspector Nahid Hasan Sumon said Billal might have committed suicide.
