Niloufer Manzur's death anniversary today

Today (Thursday) is the second death anniversary of renowned educationist and founding principal of Sunbeams School Niloufer Manzur.
On the day, family members, friends, relatives, students and colleagues will recall fond memories they hold of late Ms Manzur and pray for the salvation of her departed soul.
Niloufer Manzur passed away on May 26 in 2020 at the age of 74 while undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital.
Ms Niloufer was the wife of eminent industrialist and former caretaker government adviser and eminent business personality Syed Manzur Elahi.
She was also the mother of noted business personality and Apex Footwear Ltd Managing Director Syed Nasim Manzur.
Niloufer Manzur left behind her daughter Munize Manzur and six grandchildren.
Late Manzur, one of the pioneers in English medium education in the country, founded Sunbeams School on January 15, 1974 and made a notable contribution to the education sector.
Mrs Niloufer was the daughter of late Dr Mafiz Ali Chowdhury, a former minister in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's cabinet in 1972.
