No Bangladeshi universities have been ranked in the list of the top 100 universities in Asia, prepared by the UK-based education and research organisation QS.
However, seven universities from India and two from Pakistan have made it to the top 100.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) ranked 158, while some private universities are included in the 1,000 list.
The ranking - 'QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025' - was released on Wednesday. Quacquarelli Symonds, a higher education analytics firm, conducted the comparative college and university rankings.
A total of 984 universities have been included in the list. The top three universities in the list are China's Peking University, the University of Hong Kong, and the National University of Singapore.
This year's QS University Rankings: Asia can also be viewed in sub-regions: Central Asia (including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan), Eastern Asia (includes mainland China, Japan and South Korea), South-Eastern Asia (including Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand), and Southern Asia (including India and Pakistan).
