Norwester: 3 killed in Govindaganj

GAIBANDHA, May 12 (UNB): At least three persons were killed and 15 injured in norwester that swept over parts of Govindaganj Upazila this afternoon.
Habibur Mia, 60 and his daughter Taslima, 30 and Hartun Begum, 39, were killed when a banyan tree fell on them at Rajabirat haat at 5-30pm.
At least 15 others were injured.
Witnesses said the victims took shelter in a cloth store under the banyan tree, which was uprooted by the storm and fell on them. Habibur and Taslima died on the spot while fatally wounded Hartun died on way to hospital.
