CHATTOGRAM, April 05: Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, MP, stressed the need for ensuring equal distribution of relief among the needy persons.
He said, "We never consider the political or voter identity of a person during the distribution of relief now. We should ensure the relief for all as we are self-reliant in food under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina."
Muhibul hasan Chowdhury Nowfel said these while addressing the meeting of Chattogram District Disaster Management Committee held at Chattogram Circuit House as the chief guest ton Sunday morning, He said, "There are many people living in Chattogram from other districts. Particularly, many people of other districts who are working at industrial belts at Sitakunda, Patenga, Bhatiari, Kalurghat are lower middle class and poor. So, we cannot consider the voter ID card for distributing relief among them. So, ensure the relief for all citizens irrespective of their political identity."
He also called upon the administration and all to overcome the political interest regarding the distribution of relief here in Chattogram. He said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared that our government always ensures the food safety for all citizens. So, we have to maintain the equity regarding the distribution of relief during the Corona Virus crisis."
He also said, "Many of city dwellers alleged that they are not getting the relief as they are not voter of the areas. So, ensure the equal distribution of relief among all people."
