The Social Services Club of North South University (NSU) and its Pharmacy Department are making some 32,000 packets of oral saline alongside collecting other relief materials to distribute among the flood victims.
The students of the club on a voluntary basis have collected a donation of saline ingredients from a non-government organisation. They are also collecting cash and clothing from the affluent persons on the university campus.
Club members will go to Gaibandha, one of the worst affected areas within a day or two, to give out food, medicines, clothes and water purifying tablets among the flood-hit people.
NSU Vice-chancellor Hafiz GA Siddiqi Monday visited the saline preparing project at the university's Pharmacy Department and laid emphasis on distributing relief among the underprivileged people particularly women and children.
