NSU to organise National Career Fair July 20

The Department of Career and Professional Develop-ment Services (CPDS) of North South University (NSU) is going to organize its 4th 'National Career Fair July 20 at the Bangladesh China Friendship Centre in the city.
"Over 60 reputed companies from different sectors including public and private universities along with national and multinational companies are expected to participate in a day long fair," Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, associate professor and director of CPDS of NSU, said at a press conference in the city Tuesday.
Jashimuddin Ahmed, associate professor, and Dilara Khan, lecturer, of NSU and Rizwan Hamid Quraishi, head of Resourcing and Employer Branding of Grameenphone, among others were present at the press conference.
There is a huge information gap between the fresh graduates' target and the employers' requirement, Chowdhury said and added the fair will help reduce that gap by opening up a door to communication.
Answering a question, he said it is time to develop human resources in the country following the employers' requirement of the global market also.
Rizwan Hamid Quraishi of Grameenphone said all corporate bodies of the country need to come forward to help the fresh graduates to understand demand of the job market for their preparation.
Grameenphone, country's one of the leading mobile phone operators, will be the title sponsor of the event.
