NUB accords reception to young researchers

Northern University of Bangladesh (NUB) recently accorded a gala reception to its young researchers of Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE) for inventing a device, which can automatically switch the motor of water pump on and off as per the necessity.
NUB Vice-Chancellor M Shamsul Haque attended the programme as the chief guest while teachers of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Kaiokobad and Abdul Matin Patwary were present as special guests.
Dean of Science Faculty of the university Nurul Islam chaired the function in presence of other faculty members and students.
NUB four students-Bodhadittya Fouzder, Khalid Reza, Kamrunnahar Siddika and Farzana Islam have jointly invented the automatic machine by using a PIC16F84A micro controller of 18 pins.
The device can start and halt the motor of water pump measuring water layer in the tank. If used, the device will lift water automatically when the tank will become almost vacant and be stopped as well after it is filled up with water.
The entire machine will cost Tk 400 only.
