Gulshan Ara Rabbi, wife of retired director of National Book Centre Fazle Rabbi, died at Apollo Hospitals in the city on Saturday morning, says a press release.

She left behind husband, son, two daughters and many relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death. She will be buried at Banani Graveyard after Zohar prayers today (Monday).

Maimunnesa, mother of vice chancellor of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP)

Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, died of old age ailments on June 25, says a press release.

She was 77.

She was born at Sarpar village in Beanibazar upazila of Sylhet in 1943.

She was buried at Banani graveyard in the city.

BUP authorities prayed for salvation of her departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to her bereaved family members.
