Rabeya Akhter, wife of late Md. Ismail Mia - a former inspector of Kalia Chapra Sugar Mills and noted social worker - died at her residence in Batrish, Kishoreganj town, on Wednesday.
Her funeral prayer was held on the Shahidi Mosque premises after Zuhr on Thursday. She is survived by her only son, Main Uddin Khoka - an employee of City Bank NA, and her only daughter, Meera - a homemaker.
The Sugar Mills Children's Forum has expressed deep sorrow at her death and requested all to pray for salvation of the departed soul.
