Former banker and columnist Mohammad Badrul Ahsan died at Uttara in the city on Thursday. He was 60, says a press release.
His Namaj-e- Janaza was held at Azad Central Masjid in Gulshan after Johor prayers. Later, he was buried at his ancestral village at Narshingdi.
Badrul was a regular columnist for The Daily Star. He was also the former publisher and editor of now defunct First News, a weekly English magazine.
