Observation of WPD under state auspices demanded

World Poetry Centre, Bangladesh general secretary and editor of the magazine Kobitangan, Sardar Azad, demanded observation of the World Poetry Day (WPD) under the state auspices, said a press release.
He made the demand at a discussion, attended by Deputy Speaker of the parliament Col (Retd) Shawkat Ali as the chief guest in the city recently.
Presided over by Kobitangan manager and Gosairhat Upazila Chairman Fazlur Rahman, it was also attended, among others, by Bay Group Chairman Samsur Rahman, Poet Dr Bimal Guha, Padma Bridge Implementation Council president Khoka Sikdar, social workers Akram Khan, Abul Bashar and AM Sardar.
