SM Morshed, a researcher of the Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka, has been awarded PhD degree recently.
The title of his thesis was 'The Role of NGOs in Elimination of Child Labour in Bangladesh' supervised by renowned academician and political analyst Prof Md Ferdous Hossain.
This academic research was sponsored by the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) under the Planning Commission of the Government of Bangladesh. Earlier, Dr Morshed obtained his M.Phil degree from the same department. Currently, he is working as senior project expert for Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme of UNDP in Bangladesh. He is also an anchor of the Bangladesh Television.
Dr Morshed hails from village Dhanikunda under Parshuram Upazila of Feni district.
