MAGURA, Sept 21 (UNB): The District and Sessions Judge and Judge of the Special Tribunal here Thursday convicted a man and awarded him life term imprisonment for violating a girl after abduction.
The convict was identified as Kamal Hossain, son of Rawshan Ali, of Bengaberail village under Sadar Uapzila.
According to prosecution, Kamal Hossain picked up Shilpi (13), (not real name) from the village. He took the girl to Dhaka and raped her. Police later rescued the victim and arrested lecher Kamal. After examining the records and witnesses, Judge M Kader Newaz handed down the verdict.
