One held with 1.0 kg gold at airport

Customs intelligence officials detained a passenger with 10 gold bars weighing one kilogram at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Monday night, reports UNB.
The arrested person M Kawsar (30) hailed from Comilla district.
Sources at the Airport Armed Police Battalion said the passenger landed at the airport from a flight of Tiger Airways from Singapore Monday night.
Customs intelligence officials challenged Kawsar for his suspicious movement when he was leaving the transit lounge around 10:10 pm.
After searching his luggage, the customs officials found 10 gold bars each weighing 100 grams and arrested him.
