One held with 2.1kg gold at HSIA

Customs officials seized gold weighing 2.1 kg at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) and detained a man in this connection Wednesday, reports UNB.
The detainee was identified as Sheikh Muhammad Mainuddin (29). He arrived here from Malaysia by a flight of Malaysian Airlines at around 11:35 am.
Assistant Commissioner Customs Ruhul Amin said when Mainuddin was crossing the green channel customs officials challenged him and recovered the gold from his sock after searching his body.
