One held with 2kg gold

Customs Intelligence officials arrested a man along with 2 kg gold at Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday, report agencies.

The arrestee was identified as Ranjit of Nawabganj upazila in Dhaka district.

Sources at the Customs Intelligence of the airport said a flight of Malayasian Airlines from Kuala Lumpur landed at the airport around 11:40am.

Tipped off, customs officials challenged Ranjit while crossing the transit lounge and seized the gold worth Tk 10 million from his possession.
