One held with 76,000 Yaba tablets in city

Police in a drive arrested a man along with 76,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from an office of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Ltd (BTCL) at Wari in the city on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Bakar Siddique.
Tipped off, police, led by officer in-charge (OC) Tapan Chandra Shaha of Wari thana, conducted a drive in the BTCL office on the ground floor of Wari sub-post office at around 8:30 am and arrested Abu Bakar.
Later, the law enforcers seized 76,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession.
Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of Police Monirul Islam disclosed this at a press briefing held at the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Station Media Centre.
Police is also looking for BTCL employee M Mostofa (41), who fled the spot sensing the presence of police during the drive, added Monirul.
