Outgoing Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Dhaka Sarath K Weragoda paid Monday a call on Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter's office in the city, reports BSS.
During the meeting, they discussed different bilateral issues including expansion of trade, business and investment between the two countries, a parliament secretariat release said.
They also put emphasis on further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Describing Sri Lanka as the long time friend of Bangladesh, the Speaker hoped that the relations between the two Asian nations and the parliament as well would be strengthened further in the days to come.
