Organised miscreants looted parts worth Tk 02.40 million from four private cars at an apartment in the city's Indira Road early Monday, the police said.
Some six miscreants entered the Dhansiri Apartment at 35/A Indira Road in the city crossing the boundary wall at about 2:00am and started looting parts from four private cars parked in its basement by holding its two security guards hostage at gunpoint.
The gang fled from the spot with the looted parts at about 4:00am.
"The looted parts were estimated at Tk 02.40 million," an officer of the Tejgaon police station told the FE.
