PDB, IPPs generate record 4086 MW

The Power Development Board (PDB) and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) Sunday generated a record 4086 mega watt (MW) power, a PDB press release said.
The power production was 4018 MW Saturday, but the power generation increased by 68 MW in the peak hour on Sunday.
On Sunday, power generation was 3700 MW at 7.00 am followed by 4057 MW at 7.00 pm and 4086 MW at 8.00 pm, the press release said.
The PDB estimates power generation on Monday would be 4107 MW against demand for 4250 MW, it noted.
