JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 09: Mr Kadatuan P Usop, ambassador of Philippines, called on Professor Dr Shariff Enamul Kabir, the Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU), at the latter's office on Wednesday to discuss mutual bilateral assistance in academic and research sectors.
JU VC told Kadatuan P Usop about the development plan of the university and sought assistance for the university from the friendly country Philippines.
Mr Kadatuan P Usop assured the VC to provide all possible assistance to JU from his country and stressed on the research-based education in the university in different sectors.
Professor Shamsul Alam Selim, chair dept of Government & Politics, Professor A K M Golam Hossain, Mr Basir Ahmed, teacher the respective departments were present during the courtesy call.
