Senior photojournalist Ataur Rahman Babu died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the city on Sunday at the age of 60.
He breathed his last around 5:00 pm after he was admitted to the hospital with respiratory complications. He was suffering from pneumonia.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a host of relatives, colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Photojournalist Babu worked for The Financial Express for 20 years apart from a number of newspapers including The Morning Sun.
He was a member of the National Press Club and Bangladesh Photojournalists Association.
