Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim announced Thursday that the physicians, who would attain degree on anesthesia, would be given special offers, reports BSS.
"Modern hospitals have been established at many places in the country, where physicians and nurses are available. But, surgery would not be possible there due to lack of anesthetists. . . so special offers would be given to the physicians who would attain degree on anesthesia," he added.
The minister came up with the announcement while addressing a discussion as the chief guest. Bangladesh Society of Anaesthesiologists (BSA) organised the discussion marking the 168th Anesthesia Day at the Shaheed Dr Milon Hall at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the city.
Urging the physicians to make health treatment available among the poor people, the health minister said: "Help me everybody (physician) so that we could be able to provide medical services to all the people of the country."
