Plastic goods makers seek govt support for BIPET development

Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA) president Jasim Uddin has sought government's support for dev-elopment of the Bangladesh Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (BIPET).

He said it is very tough to develop the BIPET properly without government's cooperation.

The BPGMEA president was speaking at the certificate giving ceremony of 3rd training course on 'Plastic Extrusion and Blow Molding Machine Operation and Maintenance' at the association's office in the city on Wednesday.

Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal president Khandaker Aminur Rahman was the chief guest while directors and advisers, among others, were present at the programme.

There are nearly 5,000 plastic goods manufacturing units in the country.
