The return flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia will get normal within the next 5-6 days removing the sufferings of the devotees, claimed its MD and CEO AM Mosaddique Ahmed on Saturday, reports UNB.

Asked about the delayed arrival of Biman's return hajj flights causing immense sufferings to both the hajis and their relatives waiting at the airport, Mosaddique told UNB that the overpressure of pilgrims at the beginning had caused the undue delay. "It'll be over in 5-6 days."

The Biman boss said the pressure has been created as the pilgrims from across the world return to their respective countries altogether from Jeddah.

On October 9, the first return hajj flight of Biman carrying 416 Bangladeshi pilgrims arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2:35 pm, four hours behind the schedule.

Another return hajj flight reached the airport 11:45 am on Saturday, six hours behind its schedule.

Biman started carrying Bangladeshi pilgrims on August 27 and continued it till September 28. Some 98757 hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh performed hajj this time.
