Plumber dies from electrocution in city

A plumber died from electrocution while working at an under-construction building in the city's Jurain area on Saturday.

The deceased worker, Md Suman, 25, was doing plumbing job in the ground floor of the three-storey under-construction building located near Madina Mosque.

Citing one of his co-workers, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-charge Bacchu Miah said after finishing his work, as Suman touched the exit door to come out of the building he was electrocuted.

Suman was unconscious when his co-workers rescued him to take to the DMCH, the policeman added.

Suman's body was kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
