PM attends iftar party at Senakunja

Bangladesh Armed Forces jointly hosted an iftar party in honour of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Senakunja of Dhaka Cantonment on Monday, reports UNB.
Before the iftar, the Prime Minister exchanged pleasantries with the members of the armed forces and other dignitaries and enquired about their wellbeing.
A special munajat was also offered before the Iftar seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation as well as the development and advancement of the armed forces. Imam of Army Central Mosque Mohammad Mahmudul Haque conducted the munajat.
Prayers were also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other victims of the August 15 massacre, martyrs of the War of Liberation and martyred armed forces members.
Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Leader of the Opposition Begum Raushon Ershad, PM's Special Envoy and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad and Finance Minister AMA Muhith attended, among others, on the occasion.
