SATKHIRA, Jan 20 (BSS): Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Monday said the ongoing joint forces' operation in this frontier district will continue as long as required to eliminate the militants and terrorists in order to restore law and order in the region.
The culprits involved in the killing of people and destroying their homes and business establishments will be captured wherever they take shelter, she said.
The PM said this while distributing cheques among the family members of the victims of BNP-Jamaat terrorist activities in the district from February 28, 2013.
Sheikh Hasina said the activities of BNP and Jamaat are not movement, these are sheer terrorism and militant activities. The government will do everything to ensure safety and security of the people of this region, she said.
A total of 16 people were killed by BNP-Jamaat terrorists from February 26, 2013 in this district.
