PM flies to London today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves Dhaka for London today morning (Friday) on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom, reports UNB.

A VVIP flight (BG-001) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage is scheduled to take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for the British capital at 9.45am, PM's Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri told the news agency on Thursday. The flight is expected to reach Heathrow International Airport at 3.30pm (local time).

The Press Secretary said the Prime Minister would be accorded a reception in London on June 14 on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis for her outstanding achievements in different fields, including the implementation of the much-awaited Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) with India.

Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to return home on June 18.
