PM joins Zillur Rahman’s milad mahfil

A milad and doa mahfil was held at the residence of former President Zillur Rahman at Ivy Tower at Gulshan in the city on Friday on the occasion of his second death anniversary.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the milad and doa mahfil held after Asr prayers.

Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, senior Awami League leaders, including Advocate Sahara Khatun, parliament members and leaders of the associate bodies of Awami League and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials joined the milad and doa mahfil.

A munajat was also offered seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of the deceased as well as continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.

Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Professor Maulana Salahuddin Ahmed conducted the munajat.
