Police arrest 1,296 in 24 hrs

Police arrested 1,296 individuals through conducting special drives across the country during the 24-hour period from 6:00 am Saturday to 6:00 am Sunday.
Of the total arrestees, 843 were arrested on charges of different cases, while 453 for other reasons. A locally-made pipe-gun was also recovered during the raids.
