The Dhaka University authorities asked the law enforcing agencies working on the campus to arrest the fake students whose admission were nullified at the Tuesday's syndicate meeting.
The university syndicate declared the admission documents of some 77 students forged and unanimously decided to cancel their studentships as of May 5.
The authorities have in the meantime handed over a list of the fake students to the police and intelligence personnel.
"The recently identified 82 bogus students will also be ruled out from the university at the next syndicate meeting if they fail to submit their original admission papers in response to the 'show cause' notices issued by the probe body", the head of the nine-member committee Pro Vice Chancellor AFM Yusuf Haider said.
The syndicate also formed a five-member sub-committee with its member Sadek Khan as the convener in this regard to identify the teachers, officials, employees and outsiders involved in the admission forgery, he added.
DU Vice Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz Wednesday in an informal discussion with journalists said that the university authorities would file a general diary (GD) with the Shahbagh Police Station about fake admission at the soonest.
Faiz reiterated his commitment to unearth each and every case of fake admission at the university and take all sorts of legal actions against those responsible for the malpractice.
On the other hand, the investigation committee about 52 first-class holders at the department of political science found no proof of question leakage or mark tampering.
Three first-class holders out of 52 were given second-class and two second-class holders got first-class after scrutinising their answer scripts and mark sheets, bringing the total figure of first-class holders to 51.
The syndicate also declared all the four members of the exam committee 'persona non grata' for any type of committee in future as the probe body identified some dissimilarities of addition and subtraction of marks in the tabulation sheet.
