Police nab 100 at Hazaribagh

Police in an anti-drug drive detained a total of 100 people from Ganaktuli in city's Hazaribagh area on Sunday, report agencies.
The drive started at Sweeper colony around 10:30 am and continued until 2:00 pm, said Maruf Hossain Sarder, deputy commissioner of Ramna Division.
Police also recovered substantial quantities of narcotic items including Yaba and Phensidyl from the spot.
On Saturday, law enforcers conducted similar drive at Geneva camp in Mohammadpur area and arrested 153 people.
The nationwide anti-drug drive was launched by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on May 4 upon receiving directives from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
