Police officials, people hold face to face discussion on law

RANGPUR, Oct 8 (BSS): Mass-Line Media Centre (MMC) organised a face- to-face discussion meeting of the police officials and the people on law and order situation at Tapodhan union parisad hall room here Sunday.
President of Tapodhan Grameen Advocacy Centre of MMC and Chairman of Tapodhan UP Ferdous Alam Shaju chaired the meeting, while ASP (B-Circle) of Rangpur Ruhul Amin was present as the chief guest.
ASP (probation) Shamima Parveen and Regional Programme Officer of MMC Rafique Sarker, acting Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Thana Johurul Alam, UP members, local community leaders, elite and professionals addressed the occasion.
The people raised various questions on law and order situation of the UP area and suggested the law enforcers for accelerating the activities of community policing in the area.
The attending police officials answered the questions and sought cooperation from all to wipe out anti-social activities for the greater interests of a prosperous society.
Meanwhile, Kotwali police arrested an absconding life term convict from his house in the town Sunday night, police sources said.
