RAJSHAHI, Oct 11 (UNB): The posts of headmaster in 10 secondary schools in Puthia Upazila of the district have been lying vacant since long hampering educational activities.
Local Education office said the posts are lying vacant in Pocha Maria High School, Dhokrakul High School, Puthia PN High School, Puthia Girls' High School, Biraldaha SKS High School, Shibpur Hat High School, Shahid Nader Ali Girls' High School, Baneshwar High School, Belpukur High School and Zamira High School.
Students of these schools are suffering a lot in absence of head teachers. Administrative activities are also being hampered seriously in these schools.
When contacted, the Thana Primary Education officer said steps were being taken by the higher authorities to fill up the vacant posts soon.
