Preliminary draft of \\\'National Industrial Policy\\\' formulated

The Industries Ministry has prepared a preliminary draft of the 'National Industrial Policy 2015' aimed at increasing the stake of the industrial sector to 40 per cent from 28 per cent of the national economy, reports UNB.
This was informed at the second meeting of the Executive Committee of National Council for Industrial Development (ECNCID) held with Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu in the chair.
The ECNCID meeting at the Industries Ministry has also decided to form an inter-ministerial committee for delimiting lands for industrial expansion across the country.
Officials present at the meeting also noted that about 100 Small and Medium Enterprise Clusters (SME Clusters) will be established across the country over the next three years and all the clusters will be brought under SME loan facility.
Industries Secretary Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah, Agriculture Secretary SM Nazmul Islam and ICT Division acting Secretary Shyam Sundar Sikdar attended the meeting.
