President, PM pay rich tributes to Madhusudan

President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina Friday paid rich tributes to Michael Madhusudan Dutt on the occasion of the 190th birth anniversary of the great Bengali poet today (Saturday), reports BSS.
On the occasion, they wished overall success of the birth anniversary programmes.
In a message on the eve of the day, President Md Abdul Hamid said: "The unique quality of the legendary poet has enriched Bangla literature a lot. He earned name and fame in the arena of literature in the world for his extraordinary creative works."
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in a separate message, said: "The literary work of Madhusudan is a great asset for our country and language. He introduced sonnet in the Bangla literature."
