President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina will exchange greetings with the cross section of people on the day of holy Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of the Muslims, reports BSS.
President M Abdul Hamid will exchange greetings at Bangabhaban in the city. "The programme will begin at 10:30 am at Bangabhaban . . . The President will also deliver a short speech on the occasion," President's press secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin told the news agency.
The head of the state will exchange Eid greetings with the people of all classes and professions, including senior politicians, judges, poets, litterateurs, writers, journalists, teachers, intellectuals and civil and military officials, he added.
President Hamid is scheduled to perform his Eid-ul-Ahza prayers at the National Eidgah in front of the High Court in the capital at 08:00 am.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also exchange greetings with the cross section of people, including party leaders and workers, judges and foreign diplomats, at her official residence Ganobhaban on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League chief, will first exchange Eid greetings with the people of all classes and professions including party leaders and workers, poets, litterateurs, writers, journalists, teachers and intellectuals from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Ganabhaban, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
Later, the premier will exchange Eid greetings with judges, the cabinet secretary, the chiefs of the three services, foreign diplomats, senior secretaries and secretaries and other civil and military officials whose status is equivalent to secretaries from 11:00 am at the same venue, the press secretary added.
