President urges CAG to uphold financial discipline

President Abdul Hamid  stressed Sunday the need for upholding financial discipline while spending public money for ensuring  welfare of people, reports UNB.
The President made the remark when Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh Masud Ahmed handed over 15 audit and 2 financial reports to the President at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the CAG apprised the President of various aspects of the reports.
The audit reports included 285 audit objections involving Tk 61.96 billion. Of the 15 audit reports, six were annual, six special, two issue based and one of performance.
