President urges well-off section to come forward to build knowledge-based society

President Iajuddin Ahmed Monday called upon various organisations and well-off sections of people to help foster talents and genius for building a knowledge based society, reports UNB.
"Education, both general and technical, is the main tool to elevate the intrinsic value of every individual with a view to fostering knowledge and wisdom," he said.
President Iajuddin, while inaugurating the Electronic University U 21 Global also expressed the hope that all concerned, including students, teachers, guardians, as well as the civil society would come forward to build a healthy and prosperous society for the wellbeing of the nation.
Aiminlife organised the function at a city hotel for the launch of the Electronic University U 21 Global and Muhammad Shahidullah Scholarship Awards for poor but bright and meritorious students.
U21 is an institution that complies with 19 of the world's leading universities to provide online education and training to students, academics and researchers.
Among others, Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Chief Adviser of Aiminlife and chairperson of the session Syed Margub Morshed and president of the International Institute of Business Analysis, Bangladesh Yussuf A Harun were present on the occasion.
Iajuddin Ahmed said that Bangladesh, as a developing country, is striving hard for her rapid and sustainable development. Capable human resources enriched with IT knowledge are needed to cope with the challenges ahead and to attain desired and sustainable development.
