KISHOREGANJ, Sep 20 (UNB): President Abdul Hamid visited President Abdul Hamid Medical College Hospital at Jafarabad in Karimgani upazila on Saturday.
Principal of the college ANM Nowshad Khan received the President.
Addressing the occasion, the President said the haor people will get treatment from the medical college hospital. "If people get good treatment from the hospital their tendency to go to town for treatment will decrease," "he added.
He went on saying "I have said the entrepreneurs of the hospital not to run the hospital for business but to take steps so that people can get service from here."
Earlier, he met cross section of people at district circuit house.
Officials of district administration, local business leaders, members of local bar association, leaders of women chamber and leaders of different communities were present.
During the meeting, the President sought doa from all as he is going to perform hajj this year.
The President visited Itna-Boroibari-Chamtahgat road in Itna Upazila to see the progress of the construction work.
On his way to Kishoreganj sadar from Itna, President Abdul Hamid addressed a gathering at the Chamraghat in Karimganj upazila.
State minister for Labor & Employment Mujibul Haque Chunnu, Kishoreganj-2 constituency MP Suhrab Uddin, Kishoreganj-5 MP Afzal Hosain and Kishoreganj-4 constituency MP Rezwan Ahmed Towfik, among others, were present.
