President visits proposed Itna-Mithamoin-Ostogram road

President Abdul Hamid visited Friday afternoon the site of the proposed Itna-Mithamoin-Ostogram road in Kishoreganj, reports UNB.
The President who is now on a four-day visit to his home district Kishoreganj visited the alignment of the road recently approved by the government, President's press secretary Ihsanul Karim told the news agency over the phone.
Officials concerned of the local administration and Roads and Highways Department were present.
The government approved the Tk 4.38 billion Itna-Mithamoin-Ostogram road construction project of the Roads and Highways Department last month.
The President also visited Dhaki-Mahisakandi embankment, said the press secretary.
Earlier, Abdul Hamid offered his Juma prayers at the family mosque at his birthplace at Kamalpur and offered munajat seeking peace and progress of the country and its people.
